College CPD Requirements

In keeping with the AASW’s commitment to life-long professional learning, ongoing membership/fellowship of the College is contingent upon meeting a higher level of continuing professional development.

From July 2011 all AASW members are required to complete professional development activities each year to maintain their skills and expertise. In line with this requirement, ACSW Members and Fellows will be required to undertake higher levels of CPD to maintain membership of the College by demonstrating each year that they have maintained their expertise and undertaken skills and knowledge development.

Those belonging to a Division will be required to complete a certain amount of CPD activities relevant to that division.

The AASW is developing a new online CPD tracking system to assist all AASW members in recording CPD.


The College will be increasingly involved in supporting or providing advanced CPD activities to College members.
