Announcing the Launch of the Review of the Code of Ethics

17 March 2010

The Code of Ethics is arguably our cornerstone document. It articulates the core values and principles of the social work profession and provides a guide to ethical social work practice. To ensure that the Code of Ethics remains relevant to the profession, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is undertaking a comprehensive review of the Code, which was last thoroughly reviewed in 1999. The current review provides social workers and other stakeholders with an exciting opportunity to be part of the process of developing a new code of ethics which will guide and inspire for many years to come.
