Private practice requires the practitioner to be up to date with many issues in addition to therapeutic skills. Know how to keep your practice complying with the latest legal requirements so you can enjoy peace of mind that your practice is operating according to best practice principles. Stewart will address confidentiality, note taking and files, sole traders vs group practices, family trusts vs a company, insurance issues beyond AASW Public Indemnity, grounds for being sued, preparing legal reports, and giving testimony in a court setting.

Stewart is a social worker in private practice. Since 2008 he has specialised in Family Law, doing assessments for the Federal Magistrates Court to assist decision makers in determining the best interests of children.

He also provides assessments for the Youth Court as well as interstate governments whose children under Order seek to re-locate.

He has Expert Witness status with the Court.
