To search for CPD activities near you (or online), click "Browse by Branch/Location" on the left of the screen.

  • The word event and activity are used interchangeably in this section. 
  • Branch events, are events that are hosted/provided by the AASW.
  • CPD endorsed events are events that are hosted by an external training provider (generally, sometimes for advertising purposes a Branch event may be CPD endorsed also). The training provider has been assessed by the AASW as meeting a set of quality standards which determines that the event is appropriate and relevant to social workers. If you have questions about a specific CPD endorsed event, please contact the training provider, contact information is available on the event listing. 
  • SWOT, stands for Social Work Online Training. SWOT is an AASW initiative to provide online training to social workers nationwide. Content is being developed and updated regularly. To browse the available content, please visit the SWOT page

Will you be completing your social work degree soon? Do you have questions about what next? Would you like to get together with other new grads, as well as hear from, and ask questions of, experienced social workers about a range of topics. How to find the right supervisor? How to stay connected to your social work ethics? What questions to ask in interviews?

The NSW Branch invites all upcoming and new graduates to come along to the NSW AASW Branch and start the process of connecting, networking and build on developing a social work identity.
