Full Event Description

The Rural Social Work Action Group RSWAG supports development of high quality social community/health services in rural Australia. A scholarship of $2000.00 will be conferred to a student studying in Victorian based University, entering the fieldwork phase of an undergraduate degree who can demonstrate high-level attainment and innovative commitment to rural social welfare.

To this end we encourage applications from students who are studying the Bachelor of Social Work in Victoria to apply for the scholarship under the following criteria:

• They can show clear intention to contribute to rural practice in the future.
• They can demonstrate commitment and high level attainment to studies
• They can undertake innovative practice in their final two years that furthers the aims of RSWAG as identified in the RSWAG membership brochure.
• They are prepared to present their innovative work at the rural social work conference following two years after provision of the grant
• The grant will be allocated in two lots of 1000.00 before the start of the academic year, with progress report of up to 1000 words at the end of the first year outlining progress against their innovative practice aims.
