    This two day workshop introduces clinicians to selected forms of interventions drawn from evidenced-based and other treatments for PTSD and demonstrates how these techniques can be used in clinical work to quickly resolve memories of disturbing events that underpin and fuel anxiety, fears, emotional reactivity and escalating patterns of conflict.

    Clinicians learn skills and practice techniques in
    • taking a trauma history and assessing the current impact of previous traumatic events
    • identifying and accessing memories that underlie current difficulties or symptoms
    • Rapidly resolving traumatic memories using a range of trauma-based interventions

    Videotapes of actual therapy sessions demonstrate how these interventions dramatically reduce clients’ emotional distress and reactivity to daily interpersonal triggers
