Hospice and palliative care resource 'ehospice' to launch on 2 Oct

27 Sept 2012

Launching on 2 October, ehospice is a free website and app that will deliver real time international news and intelligence on hospice, palliative and end of life care – delivered by regional and national hospice and palliative care organisations worldwide, including Palliative Care Australia.

Online, on iPad or on their phone, readers will have access to current news, best practice, inspirational stories, jobs, events and photo galleries from around the world. It will also be a key tool to support advocacy at the national, regional and global level.

All in the one place, the world of hospice and palliative care providers will be available to:
• support the development of the best possible care by transferring knowledge between clinicians, policy makers, hospice leaders and supporters
• inspire and offer ideas – from recipes to building design to thought pieces and discussions on key issues
• encourage exploration and learning
• improve relationships and build global learning and partnerships

The ultimate aim is to improve patient care.

As well as giving access to all these editions from one portal, ehospice will include a directory of hospice and palliative care services worldwide, which will be accessed via an interactive globe. This will not only be a listing of local service providers, but will also give details of palliative care provision at a national, regional and global level.

For more information, please visit Palliative Care Australia or the ehospice website.
