New Social Work Registration Campaign Announced
Achieving professional registration is a high priority for the AASW. It is vital to protecting social work clients from harm and to ensuring appropriate regulation and recognition of professional education and standards. The AASW is launching a registration campaign and the Board is working with the registration committee to establish a campaign taskforce.
We are delighted to announce that Kandie Allen-Kelly has agreed to co-ordinate the campaign. Kandie has experience in successful campaigning for professional social workers and was a leader in the successful campaign for social workers continued inclusion in the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care scheme.
All members will be informed about the time line for the registration campaign and what you can do to make our aspiration for professional registration a reality.
