Ned Tkalcevic
During my fifteen years in the public mental health sector, I witnessed the marginalisation of Competent, senior Clinical Social Workers, often being placed in impossible positions due to professional lines of demarcation and also the erosion of skills by way of being labelled generic case managers. I also find it annoying in the extreme that those with no qualifications whatsoever can, without sanction, call themselves Social Workers. Read Ned's 500 word election statement here.

Pat Hansen
The "pathways" project will mean the end of the AASW as an association for social workers. To allow non-social workers to become members of the AASW, even as Associate members is to destroy AASW as an association for social workers. Those outside AASW will not understand the difference between levels of membership. Read Pat's 500 word election statement here.
