Private Practice Group
During 2021, a private practice group was being held bi-monthly on a Thursday evening. Our most recent convenor for this private practice group was Janice Bartram. The private practice group was open to anyone working in private practice, considering working in private practice or commencing or undertaking their Mental Health Accreditation regardless if they intend to work in private practice. Past topics for discussion have included Mental Health Accreditation, NDIS and business accounting systems.
There are currently no practice groups running at the moment. The ACT Branch Committee are working having practice group (s) active in 2022.
Start a New Practice Group
We welcome applications from AASW members to establish a new Practice Group at any time.
There are minimum requirements that need to be met to establish a group and groups need to complete an application form and develop a Terms of Reference specific to their proposed group.
There are also guidelines for the operation of these groups.
The ACT Branch Management Committee (BMC) makes decisions regarding applications to establish a new Practice Group, and also provides oversight of the work of the Practice Group.
The ACT Branch provides ongoing support to Convenors and Practice Groups.
If you are keen to explore the possibility of starting a new group, make contact via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 9320 1000.
