Submit an Expression of Interest to Deliver a Webinar or Workshop

The ACT Branch hosts a program of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities throughout the year with a view to supporting our members and colleagues to develop and enhance their professional social work skills, knowledge and expertise.

Expressions of Interest are invited from social work professionals, trainers, facilitators and educators to provide a range of seminars and workshops for the ACT Branch for the financial year 2020-21.

Currently, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all CPD offerings are online generally one hour webinar but we are happy to explore the possibility of Half Day (3 hour online workshops) and Full Day (6 hour online workshops) or potentially a series of webinars or workshops. Depending on the progression of the pandemic and the nature of restrictions, we hope to be able to move towards a combination of online and face-to-face workshops moving into 2021.

Please submit the completed Expression of Interest Form along with a copy of your Curriculum Vitae and/or a Presenter Biography and photograph to the Victorian Branch

All Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by the Branch Management Committee. We encourage AASW members to become engaged in the delivery of our CPD program though non-members are also very welcome to submit an Expression of Interest.

Start a New Practice Group

We welcome applications from AASW members to establish a new Practice Group at any time.

There are minimum requirements that need to be met to establish a group and groups need to complete an application form and develop a Terms of Reference specific to their proposed group.

There are also guidelines for the operation of these groups.

The ACT Branch Management Committee (BMC) makes decisions regarding applications to establish a new Practice Group, and also provides oversight of the work of the Practice Group.

The ACT Branch provides ongoing support to Convenors and Practice Groups.

If you are keen to explore the possibility of starting a new group, make contact with Terrie at the ACT Branch via or on 9320 1000.
