Overseas residents with AASW accredited social work qualifications
Applicants may apply for:
- Assessment of AASW accredited social work qualifications for migration purposes - use application form 2.
- Assessment of AASW accredited social work qualifications for the purposes of a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 185) - use application form 3.
*OPTIONAL additional service: Assessment of post-qualifying social work experience (a Skilled Employment Assessment) can also be undertaken as part of an assessment for migration purposes, which the Department of Immigration and Border Protection may use to award additional points. The Australian Association of Social Workers offers a specific assessment for graduates of AASW accredited social work qualifying courses who wish to apply for the Temporary Graduate VISA (subclass 485).
Applicants for this visa must have completed all of the course requirements and be eligible to graduate. Applicants are required to submit either a letter of completion from their Higher Education provider or a copy of their transcript and Degree Certificate.
This assessment is only accepted by the Department of Immigration for the Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) Visa. If a skills assessment is subsequently required for a different Visa category, you must reapply to the AASW for an Assessment of AASW accredited social work qualification for migration purposes.
