RECLAIM THE NIGHT

 

Reclaim the Night is a historical event in response to the alarming number of women sexually assaulted every year.  The event allows women to come together to speak out against violence and to celebrate their right to be part of their community at all times without fear of sexual violence. October is Sexual Violence Awareness month. Sexual assault is a significant issue in the community and worldwide. We know that most sexual assaults go unreported and that one in four women are sexually assaulted in their lifetime.  October is about increasing community awareness and encouraging all people to be involved in eliminating sexual violence.  PLEASE, if you can make the time we would love for you to be able to attend this very important event.  Details below:

If this sounds like you, then we WANT YOU!!!

We are currently looking for new committee members, especially in Mt.Isa!!  You will need to be able to commit to a couple of hours a month to attend the monthly Branch Management Committee meetings and monthly network meetings and any other adhoc volunteer work for scheduled events.  Did you also know that any hours you undertake as a committee member also goes toward your CPD hours??  Bonus!!
