Continuing Professional Development

Looking to increase your CPD - have a social work student?

Have you considered giving back to the profession and being able to help shape and influence a new social worker(s)? Providing a field placement for a social work student is a great way of supporting the social work profession. Providing supervision, mentoring or support comes under the AASW CPD, Category 3 – Professional Identity. A 14 week social work student placement would provide a minimum of 14 hours CPD with the weekly supervision. James Cook University Field Education team is seeking social workers in agencies for placements beginning in late July. Consider this your chance to develop the profession – talk to your organisation and put up your hand. You can contact the Field Education team at JCU in Cairns and Townsville on the below details if interested:

Ines Zuchowski (Field Education Coordinator) on 4781 5527 ines.zuchowski@jcu.edu.au

Sally Watson (Cairns) on 4232 1396  sally.watson@jcu.edu.au
