Your Distinction

Your Distinction: Find out more

The AASW Your Distinction credentialing program recognises specialisations in social work practice in a range of areas including Clinical Social Work. As part of the program, we have appointed an expert advisor panel which has developed draft Clinical Social Work Capabilities. These capabilities enable the AASW to articulate the skills and knowledge required for specialisation in the clinical social work area. The capability document will be used as a requirement for an applicant to gain the AASW Accredited Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) credential.

The expert advisor panel and the AASW are seeking further feedback on these draft capabilities. Please provide feedback via tracked changes on the draft Clinical Social Work Capabilities by Friday, 16 November 2018. The AASW is not currently seeking feedback on other criteria or the process of assessing this credential. The final version of the capability framework will be published on our website and will form part of the AASW Clinical Social Worker credential.

Please direct your feedback to the AASW to credentialing@aasw.asn.au.
