MPs cite Welfare Reform Bill submission

In the last fortnight, two MPs, Mr Milton Dick and the Hon. Dr Andrew Leigh, have cited the AASW's submission to the Social Services Legislation Amendment (Welfare Reform) Bill 2017 during question time.

Mr Dick said that 'according to the government, ... all the experts and health professionals in the sector are wrong and we are to take the word of eight government backbenchers that somehow they know better.” Dr Leigh listed all the organisations, including the AASW, that "have expressed concern about the volunteering measures in this bill".
