World Mental Health Day: everybody has a right to thrive

In a media release issued last Friday, the AASW's CEO, Cindy Smith, said World Mental Health Day is an important date to renew our society’s commitment to reducing stigma and encouraging people to seek support.

“We need understanding communities, greater resourcing and a system of services that is organised around peoples’ needs,” Ms Smith said.

Mental Health Professionals Network is hosting a webinar, ‘Improving your practice with Better Access’ new Telehealth options’. An interdisciplinary panel that includes an AASW member will explore telehealth for rural and remote patients by discussing a case study.
