UN visit

We have been invited to attend World Social Work Day at the United Nations in New York on 17 April. A member of our policy and advocacy team will meet with social workers from around the world and discuss the profession's role in addressing some of the most pressing global challenges, including human rights abuses. Read more about the International Federation of Social Work's UN work

Centrelink submission

The Senate has invited the AASW to formally give evidence in May in response to our submission to the inquiry into Centrelink's automated debt recovery scheme.

Research opportunities

Participating in research can count towards your CPD for Category 3: Professional Identity.

Green social work study

Griffith University researchers are seeking social workers who identify as working from an environmental, ecological, green or sustainable perspective and who are willing to share examples of practice. Participation requires a 60–90 minute interview, face-to-face or via phone or Skype. Find out more about this research opportunity on the AASW website.

Promote your research to social workers

If you would like your research reviewed by the AASW's Research Committee so it can be promoted to our members, look at our research approval process. We promote approved research in this fortnightly e-Bulletin and on our website.
