The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) framework identifies key principles and elements that should be embedded into policies, procedures, service delivery and practice, and identifies the responsibilities of various organisations and staff across the system. Successful implementation requires collaboration and trust across all agencies.

Dr Anita Morris: Statewide Family Violence Principal Practitioner, Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing; AASW Member
Dr Anita Morris is the Family Violence Principal Practitioner at Department of Families, Fairness and Housing in Victoria. Through a practice lens she provides advice to government on implementation of key recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence and leads reforms in family violence training for the child protection workforce. Dr Morris has a background in social work across health, education and the community sector and completed her PhD on children’s experiences of family violence at University of Melbourne in 2015.

Alison Norbury: Principal Practitioner, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing
Alison commenced her social work career in the UK and joined the Department of Human Services in 2010 as an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner. She has remained with the department since that time and has held the positions of Senior Child Protection Practitioner, Practice Leader and is currently a Principal Practitioner. In her role as Principal Practitioner, Alison provides advice and support to child protection practitioners in relation to complex and challenging families and supports practice development for practitioners.
Allannah Jenkins: Team Leader, The Orange Door Loddon, Previous MARAM Coordinator Centre for Non Violence
For the past six years Allannah has worked at the Centre for Non Violence (CNV) Bendigo in a range of roles and now sits at The Loddon Orange Door as CNV is the auspice agency. Currently, Allannah leads a team of family violence practitioners where she provides case management support, supervision and the operations of her team within Loddon Orange Door. Allanah has been the MARAM Coordinator for two years, overseeing the implementation and embedding of MARAM into practice at CNV. She has assisted in the development of MARAM informed tools and resources to support staff and also facilitated training in MARAM Collaborative Practice with a range of agencies across the state. Allannah also held the position of Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Family Violence advisor which saw her working with multidisciplinary groups including police, mental health, child protection, AOD and social work professionals assisting and guiding their practice around MARAM.
Claire Whitehead: Practice Development Lead – Reform implementation MARAM and Information Sharing, No To Violence
Claire is leading the implementation of MARAM and Information sharing at No To Violence. She has previously worked on the Strengthening Hospitals Response to Family Violence (SHRFV) Project and commenced implementation and aligned procedure and practice to MARAM and information sharing in preparation for phase 2 commencement date.
Jo Doherty: Best Practise Coordinator & Advanced Family Violence Practitioner, Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women's Services
Jo is responsible for the implementation of the MARAM framework at Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women's Services with experience in aligning the organisation's practice and service design to the MARAM framework. Jo is presently engaged as EMH's Best Practice Coordinator and is an Advanced Family Violence Case Practitioner.
Melissa Brown: AASW Victorian Branch President; Family Violence Training Co-ordinator, Bayside-Peninsula Integrated Family Violence Partnership
Melissa Brown is a fully qualified and registered counsellor and social worker, with over 15 years of experience in community health and education services. Melissa is the current AASW Victorian Branch President. She also has a private practice in Beaumaris, Victoria, counselling families experiencing trauma and abuse, and runs a free 10-week counselling support program for women and children victim-survivors experiencing family violence. Melissa is the Family Violence Training Co-ordinator for the Bayside-Peninsula Integrated Family Violence Partnership, providing training in the MARAM Collaborative Practice module, runs an Embedding MARAM and Information Sharing Community of Practice, and has established a series of Symposiums for Victorian MARAM Collaborative Practice trainers to discuss training ideas. Occasionally, Melissa is also a locum Family Violence Support Worker for the Magistrates Court of Victoria.
