This two hour course on Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT), is delivered by Dr Bruno Cayoun, Clinical Psychologist and principal developer of Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT).
Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) is an evidence-based integration of mindfulness core principles (in the Burmese Vipassana tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin) with solid and well-established methods of cognitive and behavioural therapies in the West.
MiCBT consists of a four-stage transdiagnostic treatment approach used to address acute and chronic conditions, and prevent relapse in various psychological disorders.
This presentation introduces the main therapeutic principles of MiCBT, its theoretical foundation, and its effects across conditions. It also expands our common understanding of operant conditioning, which provides a strong neuro-behavioural basis for this approach.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn from the principal developer and senior teacher of MiCBT.
Who should register? This content is best suited for social workers (or other allied health professionals) specialising, or wishing to specialise, in mental health practice.
