You are invited to attend the 2017 Annual Members Meeting of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Association of Social Workers. All members are invited to attend and vote. There are currently a number of vacancies on the Committee.

Program

  • 5:30 to 6:00pm - Pre-refreshments and finger food, catered by Charcoal Lane, a Mission Australia social enterprise restaurant that provides guidance and opportunity to young people, many of whom are Aboriginal, and in need of a fresh start in life
  • 6:00 to 8:00pm - Annual Members Meeting and guest speaker
  • 8:00pm onwards - Networking drinks at the The Metropolitan Hotel directly across the road from AASW

We are delighted to advise that our Guest Speaker is Adjunct Professor Muriel Bamblett AM, Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA).

Our venue is close to Flemington Road and near the Royal Women's and Royal Melbourne Hospitals.

Please note: We recommend travelling via public transport if possible. Our office is close to the CBD and a short walk from the Haymarket Walk/Elizabeth Street tram stop (trams 19 & 59) and the Grattan Street tram stop (trams 55 & 59). Parking in the area is generally on-street, metered parking and is limited. There are limited 2 hour free street parking spaces nearby in Courtney Street or metered 4 hour parking in Blackwood Street, Howard Street and surrounds.

There is also a parking facility at the VCCC Building that offers safe car parking every day of the week from 6:00am to 9:00pm ($30 per day). More information available here.

There are facilities available outside the building to lock bikes.
