We are delighted to advise that our Guest Speaker will be Kate Incerti, Team Leader, Housing and Homelessness, at the City of Port Phillip.
Kate is the winner of the Victorian Social Worker of the Year Award 2019. For the past 22 years, in her role as Team Leader, Housing and Homelessness, at the City of Port Phillip, Kate has made an extraordinary and enduring contribution to the homelessness sector. Her tireless and expansive work over this period, for the most part as a sole worker, is deeply respected throughout the sector and well-beyond. Her work has spanned many domains including direct practice, project management, policy and advocacy work, strategic development, leadership of key partnerships and networks, amongst many others. Read Christine Craik's Speech Announcing Kate Incerti and describing Kate's achievements here.
Practice group overviews will be provided by Cassie Tu, Co-Convenor of the Individual Funding Social Work Practice Group and Margaret Batley, Convenor and Jodie Baker, Committee Member of the Latrobe Valley Social Work Practice Group. June Allan will be providing an update on the Lyra Taylor Fund Memorial Working Group.
