Presenter: Tian Zhao

MSW, the University of Queensland | Child protection social worker 2020-present | International Students Officer (advocacy and support), University of Queensland Union (UQU) 2019

Tian currently works as a frontline child protection social worker in the Far North Qld region. Prior to practicing social work, she was trained in law school and worked in commercial law, education and project management in an international non-for-profit organisation which focuses on youth development and leadership. Tian values professional competency and integrity, social justice, Human Rights, intersectionality, compassion and human connection in her work. Tian aspires to be a strong advocate and change maker in the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse(CaLD) community in FNQ. In her spare time, she likes to spend time in nature, read, watch TED talks, learn new languages and try new things.
