Come and join us for our World Social Work Day 2017 breakfast at the Adelaide Pavilion and hear how having a strong social work profession in South Australia is more important than ever in 2017.
21 March 2017
As social workers, we are working every day with life at its extremes, witnessing the highs and lows of human capabilities and behaviour. Our experience and research tells us that with the right support people, systems and ways of existing together can change for the better. This conviction is the driving force behind our efforts as your professional association.
Presented in association with the International Federation of Social Work, of which AASW is a member.
Cathy Taylor, the Chief Executive of the Department for Child Protection in South Australia will speak on her vision for connecting all SA services for at-risk families and children, and the role social workers in particular can play.
She looks forward to working with staff, the non-government sector and the South Australian community in implementing the reforms to the child protection system.
