This webinar explores spirituality in social work practice. Amidst the loud voices of dominant discourses for practice – EBP, practice standards and agency manuals of policy and procedures, practitioners also attend to the quieter inner voice that guides what we do. We know intuitively that our work is shaped as much by who we are as what we do. This webinar presents some personal ideas about the nature of spirituality, on calling, brokenness and giftedness and invites participants to reflect on their own spirituality in practice. We will work on the concept of ‘staying open’ in our engagement with others.
