Exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Work
Presented by Richard Jameson and Joanna Zubrzycki

Many Indigenous people working in the community sector and within the allied health field as liaison officers and community workers have a wealth of knowledge and skill in engaging with the cultural context and practice interventions and processes. This session looks at understanding some best practice models when working with Indigenous workers and how to value their contributions to various practice contexts.

The session will be Co-facilitated by Richard Jameson, Coordinator of the Dhara Daramoolen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student support unit at ACU and Joanna Zubrzycki, Associate Professor of Social Work, ACU.
