Psychological safety is “a shared belief held by members of a team that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking” (Edmondson). In the heat of health services delivery, the psychological safety of team members is both crucial, and yet frequently neglected.

Building psychological safety in health teams is a crucial leadership behaviour, as it is the number one factor in building team excellence. This webinar will introduce key concepts of psychological safety, build a case for the importance of developing it, and equip you with tools to manage and measure the psychological safety in your team.

Who should attend? This webinar will be helpful to any manager or leader of a social work or allied team, who is looking to improve their leadership skills, support their team members towards excellence, and build team cohesion.

Additional resources: A handout will be provided prior to the webinar.

1.5 hours of CPD activity: Category 2, skills and knowledge

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Define psychological safety and identify the components that create it
  • Implement effective tools to build and monitor psychological safety in the team
