Suicide Prevention is frequently discussed. We all know the statistics about the type of patient who is most likely to be vulnerable and at risk. Those statistics cause us to feel secure, however they are misleading. The reality is that at some point, all mental health practitioners are confronted by a suicidal client who does not fit inside the 'box' the statistics have led us to believe is accurate. That can be a frightening and shocking experience for you as you flounder for strategies to help and inadvertently end up adding to the client's perception that no-one can assist them. That can cause you to feel even more helpless and uncertain about what to do next. This training is designed to give you specific strategies on how to intervene, the steps you, as a professional Mental Health Practitioner need to take, to provide the most effective care and support to help your patient Choose Life. If you work with people who are struggling with issues and they can't see a way out ... This program will equip you with foundational knowledge and skills like no other suicide prevention workshop. These skills will assist you when working with clients at risk of suicide and serious self-harm, you can help them Choose Life. Learn how you can help save lives.
