We know that the pandemic has significantly impacted social work students throughout 2020 and we also know the sector has been forced to adapt to meet this dynamic and evolving situation.

In this webinar, we explore how to draw on your virtual field placement to secure a professional social work role, how to approach virtual interviews, and how to position yourself to be successful in these unusual times.

Hosted by the Victorian Branch, this event is open to social work students and new graduates throughout Australia.

What To Expect

This webinar aims to provide participants with: -

  • Insights into how the human and community services sector is transforming in response to the Covid-19 pandemic;
  • Advice on confidently drawing on the skills and attributes developed during your field placements both face-to-face and virtual when applying for your first social work role; and
  • Key tips and hints on using technology to build your professional identity and to secure your first role.

The webinar will take the form of brief presentations by our panelists followed by a Question and Answer Session.
