Mindfulness and Self Compassion: Inner Resilience Training
|Date:||Tuesday 9 October 2018|
AASW member: $165 / Non-member: $245
AASW student member: $80 / Non-member student: $100
|Organiser:||AASW SA Branch|
The workshop delivers a research based, resource-building Mindfulness program. Many of the skills taught offer psychological strategies for calming the nervous system during moments of problematic stress, allowing for wiser responses and actions. As opposed to other self-care techniques, MSC practices can be used on the spot while at work with patients / clients and colleagues. Participants will learn tools to utilise throughout the workday and everyday life to:
- Care for themselves while caring for others
- Be able to listen receptively with compassion
- Be with difficult emotions with greater ease and clarity
- Reconnect to the values that give your life and work meaning.
- Understand and prevent burn-out.
