This is a recording of one of the concurrent workshops from the AASW National Symposium in November 2015. The workshop was presented by Heidi Crawford on the topic "How to make boring things interesting: thinking outside the box when creating learning experiences". The face to face workshop was interactive and Heidi asked participants to learn by doing. The focus of the workshop was creative outside the box/square learning experiences to support students or training participants to engage with content, particularly content that is referred to as dull or boring. The recording has been amended to explain what the activities are and how to implement them in a class setting.
