How to know when you are ready for Private Practice

Presenters:
Presenters will include members of the NSW Social Workers in Private Practice Executive. The presentation will be led by Convenor Joanne Cotterill who is in Private Practice in Mudgee and Social Convenor Cherie Gillet who is in Private Practice in Port Macquarie.

This presentation will cover issues such as the "Imposter Syndrome" addressing the common feeling amongst Social Workers that they may not be good enough for private practice as well as advice on where to get additional information and support on everything from setting up a business to getting clients, dealing with legal issues, charging for service, managing finances and getting approval to undertake contract work with various state and government departments.

This AASW NSW Connect:ED webinar is part of a series helping Social Workers to connect with new ideas and reflect on their own practice. We focus on bringing everyday social workers to talk about their practice, ideas and experiences of social work.

Webinars are 30 minutes (including short Q&A) and where agreed with the presenter, will be recorded for those who cannot participate in real time.

Registrations are open to everyone nationally.
