Feedback is essential to success in any role, and social work is no exception. Whether working in private practice, as part of a team or in a leadership or supervisory role, being able to provide feedback is a key skill. While many professionals recognise its importance, fine-tuning this skill is a priority that many of us don’t allocate time to develop.
This interactive, small group workshop provides a fun and safe environment where participants will learn and practice the “how” and “why” of providing feedback. This workshop will begin by establishing the importance of feedback and its role in our professional lives, before delving into common challenges to providing feedback. The session will focus on strategies and techniques that are helpful in delivering feedback in a constructive and supportive way.
Participants will leave this session with the skills to implement best practice feedback strategies, and improved confidence when approaching these discussions.
Who should attend? Social work and allied health professionals who would like to develop their skills in providing feedback.
3.5 hours of CPD activity: Category 2, skills and knowledge
AASW Credential: Supervision (coming soon)
