AASW Queensland Braches hosted a Social Work Conference, at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus in November 2016. The conference was designed to have a broad focus on the profession, the communities we work with and the challenges social workers face when working toward achieving social justice. Invited key note speaker Professor Lesley Chenoweth AO discusses innovation in social work.

Presenter details

Professor Lesley Chenoweth AO is Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost at Griffith University. She is one of Australia’s leading social work and disability scholars working at the intersections of social policy, social work and human service practice and social inclusion focusing on disability, child protection and rural communities. She has published widely and regularly presents her work at national and international conferences, and advises state and federal welfare agencies on policy issues.
