About the presenters
Amy Gill is a PhD candidate at The University of Sydney’s School of Education and Social Work. Her doctoral research uses a mixed-methods approach to explore service and support needs among young parents with a care experience in NSW. As a care-experienced researcher and new mother, reflexivity and positionality are central components of Amy's work.
Jason Macaluso was in care for 3 years, as were his 4 brothers. They have all aged out now except for one. Jason feels he has a lot to say about his time in care and the changes that need to be made to the system.
Brooke Oliver a young Aboriginal lady with 18 years of being in care systems and now work in the department
