This ever-popular webinar will explore the transition from social work student to professional, drawing on the insight and wisdom of a panel of experienced social workers from a diversity of fields of practice.

An inspiring session that will help you consider how to prepare yourself to step out as a professional social worker and how to navigate the early stages of your career.

Hosted by the Victorian Branch, this event is open to social work students and new graduates throughout Australia.

What To Expect

This webinar aims to provide participants with: -

  • Insights into the career trajectories of a number of successful social workers across different fields of practice;
  • Insights into the experience of social workers in their first social work role and their lessons learned; and
  • Advice on preparing for and succeeding in your first social work role.

The seminar will take the form of brief presentations by our panelists followed by a Question and Answer Session.
