Social Workers work in complex environments, with vulnerable clients, in a pressurised sector.
In our networking meetings “Refocusing on Social Work Wellness” the WA Branch will host a three-part knowledge and networking series to revisit a conversation on Social Work wellness.
Members and Non-Members are encouraged to join us for three discussions:
- Empathic Stress Fatigue/ Vicarious Trauma - Naming the issue (Presenters and Facilitators - Michael Berry, Jason Ellis, Michelle Blogna, Katherine Parker)
- Wellness framework/resilience - Suggested models (Presenters and Facilitators - TBA and Michael Berry, Jason Ellis, Michelle Blogna, Katherine Parker)
- “Putting it into practice” - Establishing support for Social Work Wellness (Presenters and Facilitators - Michael Berry, Jason Ellis, Michelle Blogna, Katherine Parker)
Each session will explore some of the challenges interspersed with breakout/networking groups.
It is time to focus on yourself.
