A celebration of social work research.

If you've ever wondered what research has to do with your social work, come and join ECU, Curtin, and UWA researchers for some delicious food on World Social Work Day. Research is an area of social work practice that is sometimes marginalised. Indeed at the trauma-informed symposium 2018, the research stream was the least attended and at the end of the day a group gathered together and wondered why.

After our successful 2019 WSWD event, for our 2020 World Social Work Day we are again putting the spotlight on research in social work. This half-day promises to be a vibrant mix of short, fast presentations combined with fuller explorations of research in action. There will also be a panel of social workers who cannot imagine "being" social worker without research.

Please arrive at 12.45pm for a prompt 1.00pm commencement.
