AASW social media

The AASW is using social media as a platform to communicate with members, social workers, the media, policy makers and members of the general public. We use it to distribute information including AASW media releases, publications, submissions, campaigns, CPD activities and opportunities, and to encourage discussion about issues relating to the profession and social justice.

AASW social media feeds are managed by the Social Policy and Communications team in accordance with the AASW Social Media Guidelines.


Twitter allows us to write short messages (tweets) on our page and respond to others in the social justice space.


The AASW Facebook page allows us to share information and connect with people. People who like the AASW page will get updates in their News Feed. Follow

The Social Policy and Communications team will update and monitor the account Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm AEST.


The AASW will follow relevant news outlets, journalists, publications and industry organisations and government departments.

Will you respond to my messages?

The Social Policy and Communications team will read all messages and @ replies. Where possible, we will respond.. Specific messages relating to AASW policy and procedures will be directed to the relevant people within the AASW. We welcome feedback to ensure our content meets the needs of our followers.
