Expressions of interest

As a self-regulatory body, the AASW is committed to ensuring its members adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct as set out in the AASW Code of Ethics and the Practice Standards. The AASW is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced senior social workers for crucial roles within its Ethics Complaints Management Process.

If you are a senior social worker with experience in complaints, this is your opportunity to support the strengthening the social work profession. Click on the links below to find out more information.

There are several Case Reviewer roles available. These will be paid consultant positions.

There are multiple Hearing and Appeal panel member roles available. Hearing and Appeal panel members go into a pool and are appointed as required.

Please submit the following details to Carol Phillips, Team Leader, Complaints and Notifications:

  1. A short summary of why you are interested in the role and any relevant experience or expertise in the skill areas required.
  2. Copy of your current CV
  3. Names and positions of two referees in your professional sphere whom you would be happy to be contacted by the AASW regarding your capacity to perform in these roles.

All roles will predominantly be performed by electronic correspondence and teleconferencing.
