Accredited Social Worker Trade Mark

Accredited Social Worker Trade Mark

The AASW Accredited Social Worker Collective Trade Mark is available for use by eligible AASW members.

The Accredited Social Worker Collective Trade Mark is a gold standard in professional recognition.

Use of this trade mark is exclusively available and restricted to members of the AASW who have completed an AASW accredited university degree level qualification, or overseas equivalent, in social work and who commit to, and complete a minimum amount of ongoing, annual professional development.

The Accredited Social Worker Trade Mark communicates to clients, employers and others that the practitioner using the logo is a professionally trained and legitimate Social Worker who demonstrates an ongoing commitment to being up-to-date with the latest research and professional approaches by undertaking the required amount of annual professional development as per the AASW's CPD Policy.

*Please note that from the 1st July 2015, some minor updates to the CPD Policy and requirements will come into effect. Accredited Social Workers will have until 30 June 2016 to meet these requirements in order to maintain their accreditation for the next financial year. Click here to access an information sheet about the updates.

The Accredited Social Worker displaying the logo commits to uphold and comply with the AASW’s Code of Ethics.

Registered AASW Accredited Social Workers are also able to describe their credentials with the phrase Accredited Social Worker: Registered by the AASW , in instances where the logo cannot be displayed.
