Regulation of social work in Australia
Protecting vulnerable Australians: Achieving national regulation of social work
Attaining regulation of the social work profession in Australia is a key goal of the AASW and is something that you as our members have asked us to pursue.
The AASW is actively pursuing three options to achieve regulation of social work in Australia.
- Registration - Campaign for inclusion in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme
- AASW Collective Trade Marks - Introduction of a Collective Trade Mark
- Authorised Self Regulation - Exploration of models for authorised self-regulation
