This webinar is hosted by Angela Scarfe from the AASW and is joined by Carolyn Cousins and Nicki Owen. Learn from these practitioners how to make it work online and ensure you are looking after yourself.

Angela Scarfe
Angela is currently a Senior Policy Adviser for the AASW. To this role, she brings more than three decades of professional experience in direct service delivery, community development, university teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, social policy analysis and development, quality auditing, and community sector governance. She has worked in schools, government, the community sector, and academia. She maintains her clear focus on the human rights of the most vulnerable people, combining it with her dedication to social policy reform. She is a passionate advocate for social workers as professionals who can create, lead and implement positive, lasting change.
Carolyn Cousins
Carolyn Cousins, BSW, MSW, MEd(Adult)(Hons)DipMgt is a private social worker providing clinical supervision and training in NSW. She has been a social worker for 25 years, running her own business for more than 10 years and is also the Convenor of the Clinical Division of the Australian College of Social Work. Carolyn has published in the areas of child protection, domestic violence, vicarious trauma and also supervision. She has worked in front-line and management roles in Australia and the UK, and was previously the Assistant Director of Postgraduate Education at the prestigious Tavistock and Portman NHS Clinic in the UK, where she trained in the Balint Supervision Model.
Nicki Owen
Nicole (Nicki) Owen BSW MSW has worked with children, young people and families for 29 years in government, non-government and private practice. She is a clinical supervisor for Parenting Clinicians in Child Health services across Queensland and runs a practice at Sunrise Beach. She initiated the telehealth parent counselling trial and research project in 2015 and evaluated the experience for clinicians and parents to inform future service delivery options. She continues to promote the use of video conference to increase families’ access to services across the state and is an active collaborator in supporting technology best practice in counselling.
