Through this webinar, participants will learn about disaster management response teams and the response provided. They will learn how psychological first aid was implemented in this specific disaster setting. Participants will also learn about the range of responses to the disaster of bushfire affected individuals, families and the community, the qualities that make an effective disaster response worker and how to practice self-care in the disaster environment.
Who should register?
This webinar is suited to social workers who participate in Mental Health Disaster Response rosters or beginner to immediate audiences wanting to understand and deepen knowledge. We will be equipping social workers with frontend knowledge who are considering being part of a disaster response team and who are interested in disaster management.
