Joining the College
To join the College you need to be a member of the AASW and be able to demonstrate specialist or advanced generic practice, education, training and skills.

There are two categories of member: ‘Member' and ‘Fellow'. These categories distinguish between different levels of education, knowledge and expertise. Read more about categories of membership.
Applicants can apply for membership in the following categories:
Admission to the College – demonstrated high level of education, training and experience in social work
Admission to a Division – the above PLUS demonstrated specific expertise in a mode of social work practice
Admission to a specialty within a division – the above AND a a field of practice (admission to a Division is necessary before admission to a specialty).

Please read this document before moving to the application stage as it explains what you need to know before progressing your application.
You can download the forms for the College here, but please remember that you need to progress to the ‘Apply Now’ process below to progress your application:
Form A – To be completed by applicants who have achieved a minimum of a relevant post-qualifying Master’s degree.
Form B – To be completed by applicants who have attained a Post-graduate Certificate or Diploma from an Australian university or recognised overseas university or an Australian Registered Training Organisation.
Form C – To be completed by applicants who do not have post-graduate qualifications and who are applying via the transitional criteria.
Attachment A – ‘Clinical Supervisors Reference form’ (for members applying to join the Clinical Division).
