Charlie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker working within a regional Area Mental Health Service in Victoria, where she holds a specialist role in family violence. Her work is grounded in the social model of mental health, with a focus on systemic change. Across her career, Charlie has worked with people experiencing complex trauma, survivors, families and communities, and has contributed to international development, supervision, research and ethics. She has lectured and delivered education and training across university, TAFE, and health and community services settings.

Charlie has served as Convenor of the AASW Victoria Mental Health Social Work Practice Group and as Branch Vice President of the AASW Victoria Branch Management Committee.

She is committed to social justice, equity, empowerment and compassion, and an association that is transparent, has accountable professional governance and embraces diversity and inclusivity.
