The Returning Officer has announced the nominations for the 2026 Director and BMC elections. You may read the Returning Officer’s notice here.
A number of vacancies have arisen for each Branch, while some members continue - members will note that this position differs from the initial call for nominations, which represented a more substantive number of vacancies being available for appointment in 2026.
Candidate Statements for each member who have nominated for a Branch President, Branch Vice President or Branch Management Committee member position may be found below.

‘First Past the Post’ Voting System
The Association has adopted a “First Past the Post” voting system,
whereby the candidate who polls the highest number of votes is elected.
This voting system applies to Branch Management Committee ballots.
Voting by electronic means
All elections will be conducted by electronic means. The Returning
Officer will administer the candidate profiles to be incorporated as
part of the electronic voting process and will liaise directly with AASW
members regarding the process.
Returning Officer
The Association has appointed Tamara Barr of CSB Corporate Services as the Returning Officer for the 2026 elections. CSB Corporate Services will manage and oversee the nomination process, electioneering process, electronic voting process and shall declare the results of the election within 24 hours of the polls closing. Lumi Global is the software being used to deliver the electronic voting process.
