Branch – NT

The NT Branch is supported by a Branch Management Committee elected by the Branch membership.

The Branch’s key role is to provide local support for AASW members through a range of activities that enable members to network, develop practice skills and organise around social justice issues.

A huge congratulations to long-standing AASW NT Branch member Josephine Lee on being awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work by Charles Darwin  
University. 

Nominated by AASW Life Member Pamela Trotman and supported by students and colleagues, this well-deserved recognition celebrates Josephine’s extraordinary contribution to the social work profession and the Northern Territory community. 

We are incredibly proud of Josephine and the profound impact she continues to make. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement.

NT BMC NAIDOC Presentation

The NT Branch Management Committee warmly invites you to a special NAIDOC Week webinar.

Join us as Tim Donovan, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, introduces Dr Josephine Lee, a proud Gudjula woman from North Queensland, for a rich and meaningful conversation exploring this year’s NAIDOC theme: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”. The session will include time for audience Q&A and will be recorded for those unable to attend live.

BMC Networking Events

Join the NT Branch Management Committee for their 2025 networking events celebrating successes.

This is an opportunity for social workers working in a variety of fields across the Government, Non-Government and Private sectors to come together and share information and resources.
