- Practice Groups
Practice Groups are run by AASW Branches. These groups meet online or in person, and may be based on an area of professional interest, specific geographical location, or other practice-related purposes.
Practice Groups are formally recognised as groups of social work professionals with expertise in specific fields and are funded by the AASW to run events.
You can connect with other members online or in person through the less formal Networking Groups or virtually through the growing number of Discussion Groups in the AASW Community Hub, which focus on different areas of practice and career stages in social work. Discussion Groups provide opportunities to connect with other social workers across the country, anytime and from anywhere.
Please contact your Branch President or Branch Services for more information or direct contact details. Alternatively, you can register to attend an upcoming meeting through MyAASW.
