- Branch – VIC
The VIC Branch is supported by a Branch Management Committee elected by the Branch membership.
The Branch’s key role is to provide local support for AASW members through a range of activities that enable members to network, develop practice skills and organise around social justice issues.
Announcement!

The Victorian Branch is pleased to announce that an inaugural meeting to establish a new Practice Group on Social Work History was held on Friday, 2 May 2025, at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria. Chaired by founder Jane Miller, an interim Executive Committee was appointed, with Joy Stevens as Convenor and other key roles noted. A follow-up meeting will address the group’s structure, meeting style, and next steps. Joy Stevens shared the group’s background, including a workshop at the 10th ICSWHMH in November 2024. Miriam Suss spoke about potential affiliation with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, and Jenny Martin highlighted related research at Federation University. Please reach out if you have an affinity with this group and we will put you in touch.
